Maxie Lee Harper Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxie Lee Harper of Hampton, South Carolina, born in Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward W. Long and Verna Sauls Long; and her siblings, Ed Long, Jack Long, Sammy Long, Steve Long and Ann Ramsey.
She is survived by: her husband Homer Lamar Harper, Jr. of Hampton; her children, Rebecca Harper (Jean-Pierre Bouchard) of Quebec, Gaye Hutto (Leon) of Hilda, Rachel Kramer (Jeff) of Seabrook and Homer Lamar Harper, III of Irmo; her grandchildren, Courtney Kramer, Scott Kramer, Stephanie Hutto and Blake Hutto; her great grandchildren, Laney Ray, Jackson Ray, Maddie Hutto, Nattalie Hutto and Ethan Hutto; her sisters-in-law, JoAnn Long of Hampton and Gwen Barnes of Columbia; her close friend Coco; and her caregivers, Juliette Alexander, Marilyn Smith, Teresa Johnson and Melissa Altman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
