He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Watson Edwards and Lelia Brauda Edwards; and his sister Elizabeth Browers (Leroy Browers). He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Ann Armstrong (Timothy) of Varnville; his siblings, Ronnie Edwards of Springfield, Mitchell Edwards of Newington, Georgia and Diane Green of Travelers Rest, S. C.; his grandchildren, Samantha Leavens (Michael), Amanda Armstrong and Timothy Armstrong Jr.; his great grandchild Sawyer Leavens; and his close friend Patricia Cassidy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
