She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert Peters, Jr. and Ellen Barker Peters; and her sisters, Ellen Elizabeth Peters and Kathleen Terry Peters. She is survived by: her daughter Kathleen Elizabeth Sweeney; her brother John Robert Peters, III (Amy Gause Peters) of Hampton; her stepchildren, Eileen Sweeny Fritscher and Matthew Joseph Sweeny; her niece Megan Elizabeth Peters Williams (Daniel Paul Williams) of Columbia; her nephews, Robert Andrew Peters (Courtney Ray Peters) of Columbia and Christopher Logan Peters of Lexington; and her great-nephew Townsend Andrew Peters.
