He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Rufus Smith and Hattie Robinson Smith; and his sister Louise Mixson. He is survived by: his wife Edna Lee Marsh Smith of Brunson; his sons, David Smith (Anne) of Houston and Jeff Smith (Toby) of Summerville; his siblings, Gettis Smith (Virginia) of Grays, Tommy Smith of Grays, Helen Crosby of Brunson and Bobbie Jean Kinard (Harry) of Grays; and his brother-in-law Olin Mixson of Grays.
