She was predeceased by: her husband Ben Tillman Padgett; her parents, Henry Winton Jones and Willie Lou Gray Jones; and her siblings, Ethel Ada McAlhaney, Rose Ellen Emmanuel, Oscar Jones and Harvey Jones.

She is survived by: her son Joel Kent Padgett (Tracey) of Hampton; her grandchildren, Tillman Padgett and Nathan Padgett; her niece Vonnie O'Neal (John) of North Augusta; and her nephew Al Jones (Jill) of Charleston.
