He is survived by: his wife Donnie Kaye Leonard Mixon of Rocky Mount; his children, J. P. Luper of Rocky Mount and Shelly Bensinger of Portland, Oregon; his sisters, Sadie Cotton of Dahlonega, Georgia, Genevive Fender of Hanahan and Reba Williams of Rocky Mount; and his granddaughter Jessica Luper.
