He was predeceased by: his parents, William Berl Blackburn and Dora Lee Ferrell Blackburn; his wife Mae Hall Blackburn; and his siblings, Emil Lester Blackburn and Lois B. Tuten Benjamin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jan B. Johnson of Hampton and Renee B. Googe (Eugene) of Summerville; his siblings, Cora Ann Crapse of Savannah, Minnie Jean Brueser of Hanahan and Bill "Berlie" Blackburn of Summerville; and his grandsons, Derek Johnson, Alex B. Ingalsbe, Kevin and Cody Googe. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
