We bid farewell to Ellen Andrews Maner of Hampton, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 1, 2025 at the age of 77. Ellen Andrews touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her adoptive father Walter Henry Andrews, Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, Cermette J. Clardy, Jr. of Isle and Bryan Blair of Macon. She is survived by: her husband Lawton Maner; her children, Wyman L. Maner of Garnett and Catherine P. Culpepper (Shelton) of St. George; her granddaughter Sarah Culpepper of St. George; her siblings, Diana Blair of Atlanta, GA and Stuart Hasty of Mableton, GA; her siblings-in-law, Jimmy Maner of Lexington, Anne M. Clardy of Isle, Sue W. Maner of Lexington and Carol Hasty; her caregiver Adrienne Land; and also, Marion Hiers Andrews and Catherine Vaughn Andrews. She is also survived by five nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel (300 Mulberry St W, Hampton, SC 29924). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hampton United Methodist Church (204 Elm St W, Hampton, SC 29924).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ellen's memory to the Hampton County Animal Shelter, 460 Cemetery Rd., Varnville, SC 29944.
