He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lester Ackerman and Cora Salome Kessler Ackerman; and his siblings, Eugene Ackerman and Rose Canady. He is survived by: his siblings, Steve Ackerman (Cheryl) of Estill, SC, Bernard Ackerman of Stillmore, GA, Brenda Helmly of Rincon, GA and Nancy Robbins of Savannah, GA.. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
