She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Rustin and Grace Brown Forbes; her husband Jimmy Lee Bowers; her former husband Thomas Everett Pope; her siblings, Lillian Brown Marr, Evelyn Brown Hay, Geneva Brown McCollough, Bruce Rustin Forbes, Jr. and Floyd Mathis Brown; and her son-in-law Kenneth W. Griswold.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Bowers Griswold of Brunson and Jeremy Lee Bowers (Debra Ann) of Hampton; her grandchildren, Justin T. Parker of Early Branch, Autumn Grace Griswold of Brunson and Trenton Lee Bowers of Hampton; her nephew William David Bridges, Jr.; her niece Patricia Carleen Bowers Bridges; and her brothers, Billy Lloyd Brown (Gloria) of Islandton and Morris David Forbes of Islandton. She is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and special nieces and nephews.
