She was predeceased by: her parents, James Samuel Barnes and Ebie Chesser Barnes; and her siblings, Ezzie Williams, Annie Jarrell of Hampton and Addie Mae Gooding of Hampton.
She is survived by: her sons, Rev. James Ellis Dobson, Jr. of Columbia and Edward Freeman, Jr. (Claire) of Rowesville; her grandchildren, Mason Freeman of Raleigh, NC and Anna Claire Freeman Butler of Greer; and her sisters, Ruth Rivers of Walterboro, Marie Crider of Cope and Kate Cook of Clinton.
