It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice Chafin (Hampton, South Carolina), born in Varnville, South Carolina, who passed away on November 30, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Lenox Gooding and Alma Givens Gooding; and her husband William Boyce Chafin, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Brad Chafin (Jennifer) of Bryant Pond, Maine and Beth Chafin of Hampton; her sisters, Anne G. Brandt of Varnville and Ruth G. Womack (Paul) of Atlanta; and her brother-in-law Charles Chafin (Amelia) of Washington.
