We are sad to announce that on December 19, 2023, at the age of 92, Willie Rae Hughes (Greer, South Carolina), born in Taylors, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Rudolph "Rudy" Roy Hughes, Sr.; her parents, Ernest Sammons and Lilly Crumley Sammons; and her siblings, Margaret S. Bailey of Mauldin, Joe Sammons, Elbert Sammons and Freddie Mae Jameson.

She is survived by: her children, James R. "Jim" Hughes (Loraine) of Chesterfield, Randall R. "Randy" Hughes (Erendira) of Travelers Rest, Rudolph R. "Rudy" Hughes, Jr. (Angie) of Taylors and K. "Debi" Dowling of Greer; and her grandchildren, Casey, Brad, Aaron, Andrea and Darren. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
