He is survived by: his wife Mamie Lou Christopher Barton; his children, W. R. "Bobby" Barton, Jr. (Nini) and Cindy Godfrey (Shane); his siblings, Tom Barton (Gail), David Barton and Grace Harrell (Jerry); and his grandchildren, Brittany Damani (Sonny), Lauren McGaha (Tim), Shelby Barton, Luke Barton, Pam Minkler, Chris Minkler (Caroloyn) and Sheena Simpson (David).

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 910 Batesville Road, Greer, SC 29651.
