He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bascom and Mary Alice Gibbs Mayers; his brother Charles Mayers; and his brother-in-law Gene Sims. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Duane Sims Mayers of Greenville; his children, Billy Michael Mayers of Simpsonville, Cheri D. Sanders (Sammy) of Woodruff, Pamela D. West (Brian) of Greenville and Stephanie D. Patterson (Chad) of Franklin, Tennessee; his sister Cathy Mayers Owens (Bobby) of Augusta, Georgia; his siblings-in-law, Ronald Sims (Brenda) of Lyman and Sandra Sims Lancaster of Fountain Inn; his grandchildren, Emily Sanders McCulloch (Scott) of Charlotte, Dr. Caroline Sanders (Blake Sloan) of Winston-Salem, Savannah Davidson (Grant) of Greenville, Noah Patterson and Jake Patterson of Franklin, Tennessee; and his great grandchildren, McCulloch and Wilder Davidson.
