She was predeceased by: her husband Homer Jackson "Jack" Capps; her parents, William Clyde Hawkins and Jennie Bell Hawkins; her son Scott Capps; her brother William "Dan" Hawkins; and her grandson Chris Terry.

She is survived by: her son Eddie Capps (Christi); her daughter-in-law Rhonda Capps; her sister Catherine Bayne; her grandchildren, Ross Capps (Kristen), Ashton Whitaker (Ryan) and Brian Capps; and her great grandchildren, Xander Terry, Jackson Whitaker and Tanner Capps.
