He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sherriel Jones Settles lit a candle

“In reflecting I smile as I think of my Uncle Thomas, he was so glad to see us when coming to Greer for visits. I graduated from HS '79 & went to SC for the summer. Aunt Hattie Uncle Thomas asked me to stay with them for a week to have a teen in the house, I cherish my memories. Always have and never to be forgotten love for you. Rest uncle. Your neice Sherriel.”
