He was predeceased by: his wife Jo Ann Forrester Ashmore; and his siblings, Fred Ashmore, Jimmy Craig Ashmore, Joyce Smith, Mary Lee Floyd, Betty Sue Boyter and Vicki Iris Ashmore.
He is survived by: his daughters, Allison Ashmore Kellum (Randy) of Knoxville and Angie Ashmore Kruse (Ken) of Wellford; his sister Marlene McCuen (Marion) of Greer; his siblings-in-law, Joan Ashmore, Steve and Stanley Forrester; his grandchildren, Austin Johnson, George Kellum (Mallory), Hope Kellum, Derek Pitman (Janell), Josh Kruse and Jessica Kruse; and his great grandchildren, Jay Kruse, Elijah Kellum, Isaiah Kellum and Charlotte Kellum.
