He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Good Cathcart; his parents, Elias Moore and Alma Simmons Cathcart; and his siblings, Ralph Cathcart and Nancy Worley.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Marie Garwood of Inman, Richard F. Cathcart, Jr. (Theresa) of Jefferson City and Robert Lewis Cathcart (Theresa) of Duncan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
