She was predeceased by: her daughter Kimberly A. Kirby; and her siblings, Doyle Pitman, Maynard Pitman, R. F. Pitman, Dot Copeland, Juanita Mease, Willie Mae Williams and Evelyn Crumley.

She is survived by: her husband James E. "Jimmy" Phillips; her stepdaughter Pamela Patterson (Randy) of Greer; her siblings, Kenneth Pittman (Charlotte) of Greer, Sara Ellen Finley of Greenville and Avis Jones; her stepgrandchildren, Ashley Patterson (Austin Samples) of Greer and Preston Patterson (Hannah) of Greer; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Peyton Daniels and Rylee Samples. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
