It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Milford W. Clayton (Greer, South Carolina), born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin H. Clayton and Ida Crisp Clayton; his wife Helen Howard Clayton; his son Sammy Clayton; his son-in-law Don Peterson; his granddaughter Pam Crain; his stepmother Loree Plumley Clayton; and his siblings, Lloyd Clayton, Harold Clayton, Juanita Cook, Pat Howard and Iris Tolbert.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Peterson of Greer and Elaine Guffey (Sam) of Forest City; his daughter-in-law Glenda Clayton of Greer; his grandchildren, Donna Campbell (Travis), David Peterson (Kris), April Clayton (Dee), Heather Gordon (Robert), Clay Guffey and Josh Guffey (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Hollie Peterson, Chandler Peterson, Kayla Worley, Annelise Guffey and Evelyn Guffey; his great great grandchildren, Kendall Worley, Weston King and Hudson King; his sister Julia Craig (Bill) of Laurens; and his sister-in-law Dotsy Clayton.
