With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Carithers of Greer, South Carolina, born in Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Albert "Jim" Carithers; her parents, Judson Mathis Burden and Nancy Carolyn Estes Burden; her son Dennis Barry Carithers; and her brother Harold Burden.
She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Carithers Cheshier (Kenneth) of Greer; her siblings, James "Jimmy" Burden (Charlene) of Greer and June Evans (Jim) of Greenwood; her grandchildren, Karla Cannon (Shane) of Greer, Kristin Woodard (Kasey) of Taylors, Laura Cook (Barry) of Tennessee and Jim B. Carithers of Greenville; her great grandchildren, Drew Cannon, Kenzie Woodard, Chloe Cannon, Kolby Woodard, Klaire Woodard, Abby Rogers and Austen Layne; and her great great grandchildren, Weston Stracner and Micah Layne.
