She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marion and Mary Edmond Franklin; and her brother Rickey Franklin. She is survived by: her close friend Danny Lee Franklin; her children, Melissa Kay Simpson, Regina Simpson (Steven Corn) and Chad Simpson (Brandy); and her brother Jerry Franklin. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
