She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Battson; her brother Kenneth Boyd; and her son-in-law John Cowan. She is survived by: her children, Stephanie J. Cowan of Greer, SC and Donald Battson of Louisville, KY; her siblings, James Boyd (Wilma) of Morehead, KY, Paul Boyd (Kay) of Manchester, MI, Bill Boyd of Morehead, KY, Larry Boyd of Wayne, MI and Alene Lewis (Denver) of Morehead, KY; and her grandchildren, Sarah and Seth Cowan (Katie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
