She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Cochran and Gladys Cochran. She is survived by: her husband James Sams (Jim); her son Curtis Pretty of Charlotte; her brother Terry Cochran (Mary) of Memphis, TN; and her nephews, Joshua (Christine) and Jonathan Cochran (Ashley).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Covenant Church, or the charity of one's choice.
