She was predeceased by: her parents, Hulon D. Henson and Helen W. Henson Forrester. She is survived by: her husband J. David Stokes; her children, Kevin Stokes (Alexis) and Heather S. Prieshoff (Wes); her grandchildren, Renna, Alwyn Prieshoff, Liam and Haven Stokes; and her sister Ruth Henson of Moore.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church (572 Mt Lebanon Church Rd, Greer, SC 29651). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
