We are sad to announce that on October 23, 2022, at the age of 91, Kenneth R. Young (Greer, South Carolina), born in Bridgeton, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Charles and Kate Reed Young; his siblings, Joseph Young, Boyd Young, Lena Opperman and Louisa Busnardo; and his son-in-law Bob Prentice.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor "Ellie" Schaffer Young of Lyman; his children, Karen Young (Randall Ledford) of Lihue, Carol Prentice of Graham, Cheryl Williams (David) of Travelers Rest, Crystal Chapman of Greer and Kendall Young (Kyri) of Travelers Rest; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Prentice (Kat), Rachael Hack (Andy), Rebecca Clark (Christopher), Bradley Prentice (Cyndie), Ashley Barrett (Rayne), René Young (Patrick Ford), Alex Chapman, Jordan Al-Zaharnah (Josh), Taylor Young, Cheyenne Young and Tonya Williams. He is also survived by twenty-five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miracle Hill Ministries, 490 S. Pleasantburg Dr., Greenville, SC 29607 or Calvary Baptist Church, 101 Calvary St., Greer, SC 29650.
