She was predeceased by: her husbands, Walter Heyward Thorne (Bud) and James Franklin Williams; her parents, Gordon Conway and Lula Mae Scott Howell; and her grandson Allen Gibson Settle III.

She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Thorne Settle; her son-in-law Allen Gibson Settle Jr. (Pamela Thorne Peterson) of Inman, SC; her siblings, Gordon Howell, Jr. (Carol) of Marietta, GA and Christine H. Seay of Blue Ridge, SC; her grandchildren, Summer Scott Settle, Lauren Peterson Rabiner (Nick), Kyle Carter Peterson and Lisa Ann Peterson; her great grandchild Charlie James Rabiner; and her family, Sharia Henderson-Watson, Dawn Fabiano, Lacey Allen and Kim Ross.
