He is survived by: his wife Betty Ruth Browning Starnes; his children, Chris Starnes (Donna) and Rachel Acton (Hugh); his sister Dorcas Epley; and his grandchildren, Arthur Acton (Mercy), Caleb Starnes, Julia Starnes, Eleanor Acton, Philip Starnes, Jane Acton and Alfred Acton.
