He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Lewis Starnes and Ruth Arthur Starnes; and his brothers, Jerry Starnes and Steve Starnes. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ruth Browning Starnes; his children, Chris Starnes (Donna) and Rachel Acton (Hugh); his sister Dorcas Epley; and his grandchildren, Arthur Acton (Mercy), Caleb Starnes, Julia Starnes, Eleanor Acton, Philip Starnes, Jane Acton and Alfred Acton.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Fulton Presbyterian Church (821 Abner Creek Rd, Greer, SC 29651). Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at the same location.
