He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfreda W. Montgomery and John of Washington; his aunts and uncles, James Ward, Lloyd Ward, Leonard Ward, Alfred Ward, Charles Ward, Alvin Ward, Emma Foster, Alma Ward, Lula W. Peterson and Edna Ward; and his grandparents, James Ward and Eula Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara C. Ward; his daughter Latavia S. Ward of Greenville, SC; his goddaughter Candace Gaffney of Taylors, SC; his sons, Delvin Thompson and Tychaune Nash; his brothers-in-law, James Ricky Snoddy and Vinson Snoddy (Toshia); and his daughters, Shontona Williams and Tiara Snoddy.
