With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John L. Baker (Greer, South Carolina), born in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, who passed away on December 10, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. William C. "Dee" Baker and Cora Rich Baker; and his siblings, Jack, Jeff Baker, Margaret Gillespie, Jeanette Caldwell, Jimmie Metcalf, Dot Pace and Mary Lou Pace.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Carolyn Bryant Baker; his children, Pam Forrester (Ronnie) of Greer and Michael Baker (Amy) of Greer; his brother Alvin Baker of Greer; and his grandchildren, Leslie Forrester, Noah Baker and Samuel Baker.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
