He was predeceased by: his parents, John W., Sr. and Sarah Wiles Armstrong; and his brother James Henry Armstrong. He is survived by: his daughters, Marie Coker (Butch) of Lawrenceville, GA, Lisa Begley (Phil) of Greer, Kristy Smith (Randy) of Murfreesboro, TN and Nicole "Coe" Andrews of Greer; and his grandchildren, Casey, Chelsey, Hannah, Seth, Rachel and Haley. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
