We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2024, at the age of 82, John Allen Currin (Greer, South Carolina), born in Lumberton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Frazier Currin Jr. and Thelma Jewell Wallace Currin; and his daughter-in-law Dottie Currin. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Crider Currin; his children, Trent Wallace Currin, Brian Crider Currin (Nancy), Tara Currin Keels (Robbie Keels) and Melissa Margretta Currin Scott; his grandchildren, Trey Currin (Murphy), Trevor Currin (DeAnne), Josh McGowan (Summer), Caz Currin (Heather), Adam Currin (Ruthie), Kenzley Nelson (Branson), Austin Keels, Harrison Keels, Asher Keels, Filson Scott and Eliza Scott; his great grandchildren, Noah, Levi, Teagan, Kennedy, Elsie, Theodore, Benji and Emelia; and his siblings, Wallace Lunsford Currin (Patty Ann) and Beverly Jewell Currin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abner Creek Baptist Church or to The COPD Foundation; 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd Miami FL, 33134.

“To Linda, Trent and all the Currin family. Can't believe how long it has been since I first met John at N C State. He and Linda helped me get through engineering school. They lived in a trailer and I in one bedroom apartment. Trent was a child. After college we kept in touch and always helped each other out. Trent seems like one of my sons, & Linda always ready to help. I always thought the Currins were blessed. John and Linda raised a great family, and will always be in my thoughts.”
