He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Miller Wood; his parents, Thomas Wood and Willie Mae Brown Avery; and his son Jerry Wood. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Amanda Wood of Taylors; his sisters, Vicky Wilson (Jim) and Pam Pittman of Greer; and his grandson Kyle James Wood.
