He was predeceased by: his parents, James Troy and Annie Belle Cothran King; his children, Joey Dean King and Frances King; and his brother James Robert King.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Justin King, Jamie King and Kristy Saunders. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
