As Jay departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jay may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jay leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his brother Terry Layton. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Batson Layton; his children, Preston Layton of Travelers Rest and Miranda Moreno (Eduardo) of Wellford; his brothers, Mark Layton (Kim) of Simpsonville and Kevin Layton (Lisa) of Woodruff; and his grandchildren, Kalliope Layton, Mason Beck, Madilyn Beck and Elias Layton.
