With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Russell Block (Greer, South Carolina), born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on July 23, 2021 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin William Block and Marjorie Jean Block; his son Justin James Block; his niece Angel Faith Rudd; and his nephew Stewart Tidwell.

He is survived by: his wife Bonney Rudd Block; his children, Jared William Block and Alyssa Block Dickinson (Eric); his grandchildren, Olivia Brooke Dickinson and Logan James Dickinson; his siblings, Randy (Margaret), Stephen (Ruth) and Teresa Block Meyer (Steve); his siblings-in-law, Rollanda Rudd Cothran (Mel), Cheryl Rudd Tidwell (Tom), Robin Rudd (Michele) and Dale Rudd (Paula); and his sibling Logan James Dickinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
