He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Stephenson and Alberta Bagwell Earnest; and his siblings, George Earnest and Dolores Stallings. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Poe Earnest; his children, Brian S. Earnest (Marianne) of Moore and Katherine Earnest McCollum (Matthew) of Huntsville, Alabama; his grandchildren, Christopher McCollum (Kati Lane) and Erin Martin (Isaiah); and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Skipworth, Calvin McCollum and Ruth Martin.
