She was predeceased by: her husband Seaborn Poitevint; her son Craig Poitevint; her son-in-law Greg Kelley; her siblings, Louie McDaniel, R. B. McDaniel, Margaret Sculley and Mary Gainous; and her parents, Royce McDaniel and Amy Van Brunt.

She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Kelley of Rowlett and Karen Baisden (Lee) of Greer; her daughter-in-law Martha Poitevint of Travelers Rest; and her brothers, Marvin McDaniel (Becky) of Chapin and Randy McDaniel (Karen) of Wacissa, Florida. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
