He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Felcie Edens and Lillie Carnes Edens; and his siblings, Truman Edens (Muanita), Bob Edens (Ellie), Roy Edens (Betty) and Margie Edens Conley.

He is survived by: his significant other Mattie Peace Edens; his daughter Sabrina Edens Howard (Barry); his grandson Sam of Matthews, NC.; and his nephew Wayne Edens (Diane). He is also survived by nephews and one niece.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
