He was predeceased by: his father Frank Albert Long; his stepfather William Brandeis; his mother Doreen Emily Swallow Peterson; and his sister Kathy Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Jean Meyer Brandeis; his children, Rebekah Ward (Shawn) of Taylors, Kimberly Davis (Tim) of Guyton, David Brandeis of Indiana, Nancy Brandeis of Taylors, Jennifer Kazmer of Illinois and Brenda Brandeis of Marietta; his stepson Michael James Lasky of Chicago; and his siblings, William Brandeis (Sue) of Illinois and Shirley Walker of Indiana. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
