He is survived by: his mother Hilma Rovira of Costa Rica; his wife Yvette Morales Nietzen; his son Richard Nietzen of Costa Rica; and his siblings, Gus Nietzen of Costa Rica, Rod Nietzen of Denver, Colorado, Sonia Nietzen of Greer, Sandra Nietzen of Costa Rica and Marissa Nietzen of Costa Rica. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
