She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Hamby; her parents, Curtis Velfew and Minnie Esther Laster Rollins; and her siblings, Franklin P. Rollins, Margaret Roberson, Esther Bishop and Jewell Rollins.
She is survived by: her daughter Denise Mitchell Bishop of Greer; her stepdaughter Gail Hamby Wilson (Harlan) of Charleston; her brother Dr. Eugene C. Rollins (Linda) of Camden; her granddaughters, Pamela B. Brown (Heath) of Greer and Jenna N. Hayes (Ed) of Greer; and her great grandchildren, Edward Hayes and Ethan Hayes.
