She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Olin and Virginia Tucker Parris; and her siblings, Raymond "Buddy" Parris, Doris Wilson and Annie Ruth Sloan Newton.
She is survived by: her husband Bennie Glenn Barton; her children, Brian Barton (Cheryl) of Duncan, Tim Howard of Greer, Lance Barton (Candice) of Lyman and Becky Rumsey of Greer; her siblings, James Parris of Flowery Branch, Georgia and Vickie Cooper (Gary) of Tryon; and her grandchildren, Katie Claire Barton, Bradley Barton, Alexis Barton, Morgan Laws, Brayden Laws of Christopher Thomas, T. J, Howard, Chase Howard, Trent Howard and Patrick Rumsey. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
