Though Eddie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Eddie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, O. G. Payne and Maudie Mae Payne; and his sister Jane A. Payne. He is survived by: his wife Mary Payne; his sons, David B. Payne (Jamie) and Stephen A. Payne (Angela); and his grandchildren, Jack Payne, Samuel Payne and Carolina Payne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society in Eddie's memory.
