He is survived by: his spouse Deloroes "Dee" Putnam; his children, Steven Putnam (Angela), Richard Putnam, Denise Meyer (Kurt), Debra Putnam, Darla Smith (David) and Peggy Springer (Dan); and his siblings, Alton Putnam, Stanley Putnam, Marie Houben and Bonnie Whitsell. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
