It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Lynn (Greer, South Carolina), who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Plumley Lynn; his parents, Eugene Clarence and Emily Owens Lynn; and his siblings, Ben Lynn and Dorothy Hudson.

He is survived by: his children, Janet Painter (Brian) of Taylors and John Lynn (Debra) of Greer; his sister Sara Eanes; his granddaughter Emily Painter Hopper (Brad); and his great grandchildren, Thomas Hopper and Katy Grace Hopper.

“Clarence "Bab" was a special friend who was very passionate about living life to the fullest. My parents (Jim & Millie Bowers) and I spent many nights at the Pisgah Camping ground telling stories and hearing Bab's laughter made the evening enjoyable. His wife Ruth was very dear to my heart. She always stayed up late at night until I arrived at the camping ground on Friday evenings. They both have a special place in my heart forever! My deepest condolences, Allison Bowers Charlotte, NC”
