He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilliard Pearson Ramsey and Annie Mae Sexton Ramsey; and his siblings, Hilliard P. Ramsey, Jr., Pauline Goodlett, Dorothy Cox, Mildred Alewine and Lillian Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Meredith "Rita" Chastain Ramsey; his sons, Ronald Charles Ramsey (Cindy) of Greenville and Donald Ray Ramsey of Greer; and his sister Lois Blackwelder of Travelers Rest. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
