He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Ryan, Sr. and Mary M. McGuire Ryan. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hellen Turner Ryan; his daughters, Jill Shelton (Robert) of Blacksburg, Virginia and Joy Hayden of Greer; his stepdaughters, Mary Gausta (John) and Terri Scarbrough (David); his son Charlie; his siblings, Tim Ryan (Julie) of Fresno, California, Charlene Presti of Sacramento and Mary Francis Tomlinson of Hollister, California; his grandchildren, Joseph Hayden (Rebekah), Jonathan Hayden (Alana), Joelle Hayden, Sarah Shelton, Sophia Shelton, Daniel Shelton, Andrew Shelton and Hazel Shelton; and his great grandchildren, Oakley Hayden and Hayden. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Praise Cathedral (3390 Brushy Creek Rd, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cooper Veterans Cemetery (140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621).
