She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl James and Gladys Viola Mason Thompson; her husband Melvin Leroy Burnette; her daughter Bobbie Jo Burnette; and her siblings, Luke Thompson, Richard Thompson, Paul Thompson, Ruth Blalock, Evelyn Lancaster and Katie Burger.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Burnette Tucker of Lyman and Randall Burnette of Campobello; her sisters, Lucille Burnette of Duncan and Mary Stewart of Greer; her grandchildren, Heather Wood of Duncan, Ron Turner (Denise) of Raleigh, Tony Turner (Tracey) of Greenwood, Nathan Burnette (April) of Brevard and Jonathon Burnette of Inman; her great grandchildren, Sarah Parker, Ashleigh Cox, Eric McGahee, Tyler Burnette, Kayleigh Burnette, George Turner, Adeline Turner, LJ Turner, Angus Turner, Virginia Posey and Maddie Davis; and her great great grandchildren, Nicholas Jordan, Cammie McGahee and Jacob Vinson.
